Dr Stephanie Diepeveen (PhD, University of Cambridge) is a Research Fellow at Overseas Development Institute (ODI) a Research Associate with the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) at the University of Cambridge. Her work focuses on the social and political implications of the increasingly digital world. Her book Searching for A New Kenya: Politics and Social Media on the Streets of Mombasa with Cambridge University Press (2021) takes a comparative look at the possibilities of public debate when it moves from the streets to social media.
